Detailed step by step

Save your file on your computer once you have it ready.

Login into your Website  http://www.your-domain-name.com/wp-login.php

enter userid

enter password

Go to Menu and locate “Pages on the left”

Locate your page and select “Edit Page”

Put the cursor where you want your document to be on the page

·       Usually you type the text you want -

Then Highlight the text you just typed.

Click “Asterisk” up top in front of upload /

1.       Screen shows Add media files from your computer

Click select files

2.       System will show you – your computer files

3.       Locate the file that you saved and want to upload

Select the file

Click Open (file will upload to blogsite)

·       Update Title

·       Update Caption

·       Update Description

·       The file URL is in putted already

Scroll down to bottom

Click insert into post

You are done. (it goes back to page and show the text in underlined blue letters)

In general if you don’t have time to watch -

Perform the following steps to attach a link to another website or webpage .

( a great preparation step is to find the link and copy it into memory for step 4 below) .

1. Put your cursor where you want the link or place it in your page where you want the link to be.

2. Highlight the letters or text or space where you want the code to appear.

3. Click the icon (circle with clip on far left – usually in 3rd row)

4. In the popup type in the link or paste it in if you have copied it

5. Select Target Tab

6. Select – New Window – from the drop down (if you want it to pop open a new window.

- Do not select anything if you are selecting it within your site -

- reason being pages with in usually replace each other in the same window .

7. Select OK or in some cases just hit return if you don’t see the  “OK”  symbol
